Operator: Afro-Continental Airways

Formed in 1970 as the passenger and freight subsidiary of Air Trans Africa with one L-1049G Super Constellation. The aircraft operated a once-weekly return passenger service from Salisbury to Windhoek. In addition to this service the L-1049G flew charters throughout South Africa. In September 1974, at that time the last Super Constellation in the world to be used on scheduled passenger service, was retired.
