In 1955, some Algiers-Paris schedules were taken over by L-749As leased from Air France. In November 1955, 2 L-749As were transferred to them. The network was extended to Geneva in 1957, but dropped in 1958. With the delivery of Caravelles in 1960, the Constellations were used in tourist work and low cost flights between France (including Basel-Mulhouse) and Algiers. The final Constellation service to Paris was flown in January 1961.
