Operator: Central American Airways

Central American Airways Flying Service started operations in 1948. In the early 60s the company offered charter services with a DC-3 and a Martin 2-0-2. In October 1967 an ex TWA L-749A was purchased and used on general charter work within the US until 1973. A L-1049H was added in January 1969. For some years the Super Constellation was the only registered aircraft by a certified US carrier. It was used until October 1978 on freight runs for the automotive industry between Detroit and Kansa. Central American ceased operations in late 1981.
